Associate Attorney

You will learn from experienced attorneys how to litigate and resolve cases. Candidates should have some litigation experience and be eager to take depositions, attend hearings and trial, draft discovery responses, motions and evaluate cases. Casual and friendly work environment; office located near Wurzbach Pkwy and NW Military Highway in San Antonio. Will Allan Law Firm takes pride in the success they have earned in trying cases to jury verdict or otherwise resolving cases against some of the largest insurance companies in the nation.

Paralegal

Our growing law firm is seeking an exceptional paralegal to join the team!

We specialize in insurance / bad faith and personal injury litigation.  If your case is not resolved during the litigation process, we have the knowledge, experience and resources to try your case to verdict.

Key job responsibilities:

  • Prepare drafts of written discovery

  • Kind and compassionate communication with clients and assist them with the discovery process 

  • Draft various letters

  • Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, and other case related appointments

  • Set motions for hearing with the court

  • Set cases for trial

  • Draft pleadings, scheduling orders and basic motions 

  • Clear, accurate and empathetic communication with new and existing clients to include new case intake, onboarding, and pertinent status updates

  • Database management, file set up and documentation in office systems

  • Calendar deadlines and reminders

The paralegal should have the ability to:

  • Adapt to changes in priorities and assignments 

  • Communicate professionally when dealing with the needs, problems and/or concerns of court staff, office staff, clients and vendors

  • Exercise sound judgment in accordance with the firm's operating principles and standards

  • Identify and solve problems

  • Prioritize work assignments to ensure completion within established timeframes

  • Work independently 

Ideal candidates will also:

  • Speak Spanish fluently

  • Be familiar with Mac computers 

  • Have experience in insurance/bad faith litigation and/or personal injury

  • Have 3+ years of paralegal experience
